I am addicted to sweets. I love them. I know that I am not supposed to love inanimate objects, but I do. Recently it has been of the sweet-salty variety. You know, chocolate covered pretzels and yogurt covered pretzels.
I find myself picking up a bag wherever I am. Like Trader Joe's on Monday. I just had to have a bag of chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels. Seriously. I mean not even the price tag could turn me away. Have you ever had those? Oh my. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself.
And then today, while at Sprouts, I picked up some yogurt covered pretzels. Seriously, they're all gone. However, I did share them with my girls. So, I'm not a total pig.
If you told me that I would lose 5 pounds a week from giving up sweets, I might not do it. Is that sad or what? Anyways, that's me. And no, I'm not about to go all psycho and give up sugar, like some girls I know. I don't know how or why you do it. And you know that I love Jesus and thankfully I have not felt the call on my life to give up sweets.
There are few things that leave me so satisfied as a nice treat. Anyhoo, I felt like confessing. Well, it might not be confessing since I don't intend to change. It's kind of like letting you in on my inner sanctum.

I am the EXACT SAME WAY! I know I shouldn't do it, but I do anyway. Sprouts is the worst too because you feel like, "Well I am at the Farmer's Market, so it's mostly healthy!" ha ha ha
There are worse things you could be doing. Everything is fine in moderation, right??
Sure, in moderation.
Except when you're putting away a good pound of candy a day. Would I be wrong to say that wasn't moderation?
Well, I'm not that bad. But still, I'm feeling a little sick...
chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels?!?!?!? Really? (mentally planning a trip tomorrow...)
I'm partial to the chocolate covered peppermint crusted pretzels at Sprouts. When I was pg with Treyton, I would buy about 10 every week and eat them before I got home so Rich wouldn't find out...
Oh, I love the chocolate covered peppermint pretzels too! And seriously, I'm hoping that this is one post that Erik doesn't read...
And actually, that's a pretty good idea. To just buy a few from Sprouts as I crave them. I might end up going every day, but then I would keep track of how many I ate!
Ok...my favorite thing is chocolate covered pretzels! Then I don't have to mess with the whole sweet/salty thing. Instead, I just get it all at once.
Funny story though, my oldest is doing a project at school where they have to write down all of our grocery receipts for 1 month and then are using them to help with a money unit.
So the other day he is writing down my Sprouts..."Wow, bananas are cheap. You sure got a lot of strawberries. HEY, where are the chocolate pretzels?" I had already eaten them before he came home from school that day!!
Dude, I totally ate a donut at Ryan's school today. There. I said it. I don't THINK I'm going to Hell for breaking Lent, but I'm completely craving sugar again already. I am so sugar addicted, it sucks!
I think one of the advantages of being pregnant is to enjoy eating sweets guilt-free.
I hear ya friend1 Eric is always saying, "Is is necessary for you to have a dessert every night?" Well, yes in fact it is! If I don;t have my "sweet treat" after dinner I am super cranky and a little sad before I go to bed.
