Flair

So, I was putting off working for my dad this morning and I decided to browse through the Flair on Facebook. Succinct sayings on buttons make me happy.

In any case, I was browsing through buttons and I saw a Cookie Monster button where a spread of fruits and veggies are in front of him and he says, "What is this crap?" And it reminded me of Jack's diapers.

On the Pampers diapers that my son is currently wearing Cookie Monster is on there and he's eating fruit. FRUIT! Apples, Bananas, Grapes, etc. What in the world? Why take away the cookie from Cookie Monster? It's like Sesame Street can't be seen to encourage kids to eat a damn cookie!

I think this whole sugar-phobia has gone too far. Cookie Monster likes cookies. Why take that away?

This is one of the many reasons why I love you.

I totally agree with you. Cookie Monster eats cookies. That's what he does. That's his purpose. He's not the Apple Monster or the Tofu Monster. He's the COOKIE MONSTER.

Is there a childhood obesity problem because of Cookie Monster? No. It's because parents aren't parenting their kids anymore. It's not McDonald's fault, either. If your car is in their drive thru, you made the choice. Right?

I could rant and rave about this for hours. It's like those people who go to Cheesecake Factory and don't order cheesecake. It's not the Salad Factory people. It tells you right up front it is not the healthiest place to eat. Don't act all shocked and appalled when they bring out that tray of cheesecake. Like you didn't see it coming. Puh-leeezzzz!

Everything in moderation. Be responsible for your own actions. Let Cookie Monster eat some freaking cookies! Sheesh.

Wanna meet at Cheesecake Factory for dessert one night? Their Black Tie Mousse is DIVINE. :)

I support cookies and cheesecake. They are both good for you. It's the crazies who are so uptight about food who (I suspect) are secretly binging when no one is around that have the real problem. The rest of us can enjoy dessert reasonably, thank you very much.

@April, I've never had the Black Tie Mousse. I'm a white chocolate raspberry fan, but that sounds very good!

Yes! Preach it! :-)

Cookie Monster was my favorite muppet on Sesame Street when I was a kid. It saddens me that they've taken away his cookies. :(
