Embarrasing

I signed up to bring snack for Reagan for Awana tonight. I baked snickerdoodles. They are amazing. I sent 24 with Reagan. There were not enough.

I am so embarrased. But now I think that it must be really cool that there were so many kids at Awana tonight that they actually didn't have enough snack. I mean how many kids learned something new about Jesus tonight. Right? Anyone? Eternal salvation is so much cooler than a cookie.

However, Reagan was heartbroken that not everyone got cookies for snack. Instead of just 2 kids not getting cookies, they only gave half the class a snickerdoodle and the rest of the class got Cheerios. She cried and cried. I cringed and cringed. Oh the parental guilt.

I'm off to stuff my feelings with cookies...

Aww...poor thing...

Now I think the thing to do would have been to give each kid half a cookie, right? That's what I would have done! Were they trying to teach some lambs vs. goats lesson or something?

And yeah, eternal salvation is the most important thing. Cookies are way down the list ;)

Who are you kidding, Chandra? Food is always at the top of your list! And cookies, for sure!

Jess, who would have thought? Eat a cookie for me, girl.

Oh Dear. I call these moments- "Mom Trophy" moments. It's when I get down the "Mom of the Year" trophy and dust if off. (not that it actually sits up there long enough between my oops moments to collect dust). My sister and enjoy telling each other about our mom of the year moments. All you can do is laugh- and eat cookies :) She and I are constantly fighting over the trophy- that's not a good thing is it????

Yuck! I hate it when I do something like that. Have another cookie and give an extra one to Reagan. That always makes me feel better! :)

Isn't Awana's awesome!
